The History of Our Church

Bible Baptist Church has been serving the Cork area since 1994. What began as a small church plant in Blarney has grown into a thriving congregation in Ballincollig.

Historical Milestones

1994 - The Beginning

• January 1994 - The Ledbetter family arrives in Cork, Ireland
• January 1994 - Begin working with the Lionel Smith family
• February 1994 - Door-to-door evangelism begins in the Blarney area
• May 1994 - Announcement of the soon start-up of the Bible Baptist Church in Blarney
• June 1994 - Bible Baptist Church of Blarney holds its first Sunday meetings

1996-1997 - Growth and Expansion

• 1996 - First baptisms celebrated
• June 1997 - Started the Bible Baptist Church of Mallow, Co. Cork

2004 - A New Chapter

• June 2004 - Fire in the TA Hall in Blarney demolishes the rented building. The church temporarily meets in the Blarney Park Hotel
• July 2004 - Bible Baptist Church moves into new rented building in Ballincollig - the Westgate Foundation
• July 2004 - Formal organisational meeting of the Bible Baptist Church of Ballincollig

Today

Bible Baptist Church of Ballincollig continues to serve the Lord, reaching the Cork area with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We remain committed to Biblical preaching, personal evangelism, and discipleship.
