James D and James M saved; 202 people at 30th anniversary celebration; Church Family Camp
July 2024
It has been a wonderful Summer! First off, a 22 year old young man named James D got saved just a few weeks back and has been asking a lot of good Bible questions! We have been having visitors almost every week, and are averaging around 120 most Sundays! Another man named James M also got saved recently. He has been working through our freedom from addiction course, and is ready to be baptized.
Baptism. On Sunday, June 30th, right after church, I baptized a young man named Alex D who got saved about 6 months ago and has been so faithful to all the church services since then, and has been helping out with our evangelism and summer projects! He is a joy to be around! A true miracle of new life in Christ!
Our Church’s 30th Anniversary Service was incredible! We had 202 people (yes, you read that right) gather under a massive tent just behind our church building, and it was a great day of rejoicing over the past 30 years of God’s amazing grace! We had 38 first time visitors! It was unbelievable! And most importantly, everyone heard the Gospel!
Church Family Camp. It has been a very long time since just our church folks got away together for a church camp, but a place opened up to us and we took it! For a few days in early July, 64 of us just fellowshipped, and walked, and ate together, and played and rested! It was a true taste of heaven, and we all realised just how special it is to spend time together! Preaching every evening was very practical and was so good to hear!
We are getting ready to have our Children’s Summer Bible Club AND our Teen Evangelism Blitz, August 12-16! 20 volunteers from a supporting church in South Carolina are coming to help us with all the Gospel outreach. We just need prayer now and some good weather!
Please pray… 1) For our Children’s Summer Bible Club – pray for many local young people to learn the gospel and decide to follow Jesus! 2) For our Teen Evangelism Blitz. And 3) for God’s grace and power in everything we do.
