Deaf Evangelism. Back in September, evangelist Jim Sloan was with our church here for a second time to help encourage us to continue to reach out to the deaf. There is no one that doesn’t need to understand the Gospel and repent. But they will not believe without someone caring enough to go to them – no matter the cost. So we pray for the day when the deaf regularly “hear” the good news about Jesus Christ and decide to follow Him as we with ears have!

Baptism of Enzo and Luiza M! God brought a precious family from Brazil to Ireland several years ago. The Mom sought out a Bible believing, Gospel preaching church in Ballincollig, and found ours and started attending several years ago with her two children, Enzo and Luiza. Enzo got saved, and then the Dad got saved! Since the Dad got baptized a year ago, the two teenagers wanted to get baptized, but the daughter still needed to get born again, which finally happened! Now the brother and sister were ready to follow the Lord in believer’s Baptism, and we had a great time as a church at the local river on September 8th!

Mission’s Conference in Athlone. In October, I had the great privilege of preaching a Mission’s Conference at Redemption Baptist Church in Athlone, Ireland. My favourite kind of preaching! Nita and I were so blessed with the fellowship of the pastor and his family and church. They currently support four missionary families, and are hoping to financially take on another missionary in the Middle East, and I believe they will.

It is winter again here in Ireland. Even though it is still quite mild temperature-wise, it gets dark very early, and is almost constantly cloudy and gloomy. It really affects the soul! So, we do several things to “keep the Light on!”… we held our annual Light the Night church fellowship and dinner on October 31st; We continue to go into downtown Cork City on Fridays and talk to people on the street and present the Gospel; We also keep going door-to-door with the Gospel on Saturdays. Church attendance is great. And we continue to have visitors regularly!

But, Please pray… 1) Pray for a single Mom named Christine G who came very, very near death with sepsis and double pneumonia – she is doing better but desperately needs to get saved! 2) For many new believers to grow now that they are saved! 3) Pray for us to find and purchase a bigger building for us to meet in! And 4) pray for God’s help in everything we do. Nothing good happens without Him!

Your friend and fellow-servant,

Pastor Craig Ledbetter
